#Blogmas/Self-love Advent Calendar Day 3

The Challenge for day 3 was ‘write 3 things you LOVE about yourself’ ❤️ I really like these type of challenges, as they force me to focus on the positives. When it comes to everyone else I’m great at being positive, but I’m always far too harsh on myself. So having to come up with things I love about myself is a nice way to break that cycle.

Here’s my list:

  1. How much of a sassy expression I pull in most pictures – growing up, my Mum didn’t like getting her picture taken, and it used to get to me too, but when she was ill and after she died I realised I have hardly any pictures of her or memories with her. It made me want to take a LOT more pictures, and I’m quite a poser as you can see 😂
  2.  The fact I’m working on myself, and feeling better for it – I’ve made a very conscious decision to really work on my self this year, doing yoga, meditating, getting (a little) into exercise, and generally trying to take care of myself. I’ve been trying to do this for years, but something this year has just clicked, and I feel like I’ve take great strides in this area. It makes me happy that I’m giving myself some of the care I deserve!
  3. I get *super* excited about surprises, and therefore the festive season! 🎄🤶🎅🎁☃  – I didn’t always love Christmas. As I wrote recently Christmas can be tough for me, and I spent a long time feeling really weird and down about the season. But in the past 2 years, since being with M, it’s turned into a time for excitement, love, and all the fun, cosy things that I felt like I missed out on for so long  ❤

What do you love about yourself? Share in the comments and let’s spread the positivity and self-love!

Have a good day (if today sucks try to do something kind for yourself!),
